Can I request a quote before placing an order?

Yes! You can request a quote directly through our website or by contacting our Sales Team. For large orders, custom products, or contractor pricing, we’ll provide a detailed quote within 1–2 business days.

Do you offer bulk or contractor discounts?

Yes. We offer bulk pricing on many of our products. Contact our sales team to see if your order qualifies.

Can I place an order without creating an account?

Yes — guest checkout is available, but creating an account allows you to track orders, view history, and save addresses for faster checkout.

Shipping & Delivery

How long will it take to receive my order?

In-stock items typically ship within 1–3 business days. Custom or made-to-order items may require additional processing time, which will be noted at checkout.

Do you offer local pickup?

Yes! Orders can be picked up at our York, PA  location. You’ll receive an email when your order is ready.

What shipping carriers do you use?

We primarily use UPS, FedEx, and USPS, depending on order size and destination. Freight shipping is available for oversized or palletized items.

What is your return policy?

Unused, unopened products in original packaging can be returned within 30 days of purchase with proof of receipt. Custom or made-to-order items are non-returnable.

How do I start a return or exchange?

Do you design and make custom signs?

Yes — we design and produce a wide variety of custom signs, including traffic, property, safety, and jobsite signage. Our team can help you select the right materials, size, and layout to fit your specific project or compliance needs.

Do you design and make business signs?

Yes — we create business signs for offices, storefronts, job sites, and facilities. From branded logos and directional signs to parking and safety notices, our team can design and produce signage that reflects your company’s image and meets your needs.

Do you offer sign installation services? 

Installation is not performed directly through our Signs & Safety Division. However, we can coordinate installation through our Pavement Marking & Maintenance Division for projects within select service areas. To schedule installation, we’ll need site maps and exact sign locations to share with our contracting team for One Call (PA) and utility locating requirements in other Mid-Atlantic regions.

Do you create custom logos?

Yes! We have a designer on staff who can create a custom logo or brand design for your company. Whether you need a professional refresh or a completely new logo, our design team will work with you to develop artwork that fits your vision and industry.

Can you add my company logo or branding to apparel or safety gear?

Yes — we specialize in heat press and embroidery services to add your company logo or branding to safety vests, jackets, shirts, hats, and more.

Here’s how it works:

Submit your logo or design during checkout, or email it to sales@degemmill.com.

Accepted file types: EPS, PDF, or high-resolution PNG/JPG (vector preferred).

Our design team will send a proof for approval before production.

Note:  Lead times for heat press and embroidery services vary based on quantity, logo design, and when the items are needed. Please reach out to us for an estimated turnaround time.

Note: Not all products can be logoed due to material or compliance restrictions — our team will confirm options before finalizing your order. 

Traffic Control Rentals, Sales & Delivery

Do you rent traffic control products for short-term and long-term projects?

Yes — we rent a full range of traffic control products for both short-term and long-term projects, including cones, barricades, signs, and arrow boards. Our rental options are ideal for construction zones, municipal work, special events, and temporary traffic management needs.

Do you deliver traffic control rentals?

Yes — we provide delivery for rentals within a 60-mile radius of our Red Lion, PA location. Delivery fees are additional and coordinated through our Pavement Marking & Maintenance Division to ensure timely and professional service. Payments & Accounts

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards, PayPal, and Apple Pay. Approved business accounts may qualify for Net 30 billing terms.

How can my company apply for Net 30 Day Terms?

 Eligible businesses can complete our Net 30 Credit Application to establish a billing account. Once approved, you can place orders online using your Net 30 terms instead of a credit card.

Can I use tax-exempt status when ordering?

Yes — please email your sales tax exemption certificate to accounting@degemmill.com before placing your order.

Are your signs and sign posts PennDOT and MDOT certified?

Yes. All traffic signs, posts, and hardware from D.E. Gemmill Signs & Safety Division meet or exceed PennDOT and MDOT standards. Our products comply with MUTCD regulations and are approved for roadway use in Pennsylvania and Maryland.

Are your safety products ANSI or OSHA compliant?

Yes. All PPE, traffic control devices, and apparel meet or exceed ANSI/ISEA and OSHA standards as listed in each product description.
